I’m happy for Shatner that he got to take the ride. I just don’t like how they mislead people and say they are in space. I’m in space right now too, as we all are. It’s not outer space. It’s just the most expensive amusement ride. You go up and then you fall back down.

Not at all. The lunch is the hardest part on the body.

The Intellectual Wilderness

I imagine the initial launch is the worst bit, which is common to both. The real danger wouldn’t be time in space, but rather the possibility of a launch abort escape which is also common to both. I don’t know how robust his frame would have to be to handle a few seconds of 10g.

Yeah launch espace & re entry would be tough. Also the Inspiration4 mission passengers did experience sickness in the capsule. (I’m sure that wouldn’t have been a problem)

Outstanding. Perfect trip for a 90 year old Shatner. Straight up and down. An actual multi day space trip in orbit on Spacex would probably be too physically stressing for someone his age.

Good point! I think for Shatner the biggest thing was seeing Earth from abovem even for a short time.
